Where Classical Education Meets Real-World Experience.
The Oratory is now offering a full-time 7th–8th grade program that integrates classical education with hands-on work experience. Designed to cultivate both intellectual and practical skills, this program provides students with a robust academic foundation rooted in the liberal arts, while also offering real-world opportunities through a unique one-day-a-week apprenticeship model.
Students will engage in rigorous studies of Latin, math, literature, history, and science, all while gaining invaluable life skills through mentorship and hands-on learning. At The Oratory Academy, we strive to develop not only well-educated minds but also strong, virtuous individuals prepared for the future.
Classical Focus
-
Core Subjects: Latin, Literature, History, Mathematics, Science, and Religion, taught through a classical framework that emphasizes critical thinking, logic, and rhetoric.
-
Virtue Formation: Emphasis on character education, with students engaging in discussions that connect learning to personal development and Catholic values.
Experienced Teachers
The Oratory Academy’s faculty are trusted, faithful educators, many drawn from our longstanding teaching community. They bring not only subject mastery, but a shared commitment to forming students in truth, virtue, and joyful discipline.
Our team includes:
-
Experienced classical educators
-
Practicing Catholics devoted to the sacramental and liturgical life
-
Teachers who model intellectual wonder, moral seriousness, and cheerful authority
Apprenticeship
-
One Day a Week: Students participate in a hands-on work/apprenticeship day, providing practical, real-world experience alongside academic study.
-
Mentorship: Each student is paired with a mentor or local business for hands-on learning in areas like craftsmanship, trades, arts, or community service.
-
Skills Development: This model helps students develop practical life skills, teamwork, and an understanding of the value of work.
Why We are Offering This Option
In a time of confusion and fragmentation, we believe young people deserve a clear and confident Catholic education, one that forms the whole person, rooted in the tradition of the Church and the permanent things.
The Oratory has supported homeschooling families for years. This Academy now builds on that foundation to serve those who seek a full-time academic environment with the same spiritual depth and intellectual richness.
“The object of opening the mind, as of opening the mouth, is to close it again on something solid.” — G.K. Chesterton
